Our first trade.

In its first edition, ÚNA Fest, explored myths and tales composed of cosmological, corporeal and ecological stories, emerging from the mystical forests of the Scottish Highlands, to the coastal summits of the Colombian Andes, to the rivers of the Amazon Rainforest

ÚNA Fest embraced the voices, experiences and knowledge of passionate speakers ranging from artists, musicians, filmmakers, academics, curators, environmentalists and activists from Latin American and Scottish backgrounds.

By uncovering visual and conceptual parallels and similarities between their respective ancient and traditional roots, through Celtic and Indigenous mythologies and cosmovisions,  we asked contemporary Western society:

Who we are,
where do we come from,
and where are we headed?

ÚNA Fest took place in Glasgow, Scotland, at the University of Glasgow and at the CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts on the 18th and 19th of May 2019.

The festival offered a series of panel discussions, art exhibitions, music, performances and film screenings welcoming Glaswegian student-bodies, academics, artists, activists, and the wider Latin American community in Scotland to contribute their experiences and feed a melting pot of ideas.
